Week Three's NFL Ballers...

Week 3 of the 2012 NFL season is in the books, Gator Nation. A total of 23 former Gators were active this past weekend. Of the 23, 12 started for their respective team/
Percy Harvin once again had the biggest day out of the crop of former Gators, doing most of his damage this week through the air.
The following players were inactive in Week 3:
- David Nelson, Buffalo Bills - Out for season with torn ACL.
- Joe Haden, Cleveland Browns - Sidelined for first of four games.

Mike Peterson saw time at the linebacker position, however he failed to contribute any stats in the Falcons 27-3 thumping of the San Diego Chargers.

Deonte Thompson, Wide Receiver - Baltimore

Thompson saw a handful of snaps at WR, however failed to record any catches. He did make an impact on kick off returns though. Returning three for a total of 81 yards, and a long of 36, in the Ravens 31-30 win over the New England Patriots.

Louis Murphy, Wide Receiver - Carolina

Of the 30 passes thrown by Carolina QB Cam Newton, three were targeted to Murphy, with one being a 7-yard reception. We might need to make a call into Cam if Murphy's production doesn't go up.

Carlos Dunlap, DE - Cincinnati Bengals

After sitting out last week, Dunlap came back with a vengeance. He stripped RGIII one time, forcing a fumble, and recorded three tackles in the Bengals 38-31 win over the Washington Redskins.

Have yourself a day Reggie! Nelson made the start at free safety and recorded 10 tackles, seven of which were solo, to help the Bengals top the Redskins, 38-31.

Major Wright, Strong Safety - Chicago

Major Wright just keeps producing for the Bears. This week he made the start at strong safety, recording two tackles, one pass defense and a 45-yard interception.

Jeremy Mincey, LB - Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags are finally in the win column, topping Indianapolis 22-17. Mincey contributed one pass defense in his start for Jacksonville.

Siler had a minimal impact on the Chiefs win over the Saints, but hey, an impact is an impact. He recorded one tackle on special teams, as well as saw a handful of snaps at linebacker.

Pouncey made the start at center for the 'Phins, and did his best to put them in the win column. The Jets pulled it out in overtime, winning 23-20.

Mercy Percy! Yes, I have started every Percy piece with those two famous words, but how could I not? Harvin is a man on the gridiron.
He started at wide receiver and caught nine passes for 89 yards. That is good for a 9.9 yards per catch average. Harvin had a long of 24 yards. He also added nine yards on the ground on one carry.
It was a day full of nines for the playmaker.

Carlisle started at center and helped pave the way for Darren McFadden's 113-yard rushing day, and the Raiders 34-31 win over the Steelers.
