March Madness is in full swing, and the SEC has seen its fair share of crazy finishes through the first few rounds of the conference tournament.
While the bracket half containing Florida and Alabama has gone more or less according to plan (with Bama picking up a huge win against fellow bubble team Tennessee and the Gators absolutely dominating LSU), the other side has been topsy-turvy.
No one expected Ole Miss to show any life after limping to its regular season finish, and yet after a come-from-behind win over a talented Mizzou squad, the Rebels have a chance to reach the tourney finals. All they have to do is take down Vandy, which would have sounded like a breeze no more than a week ago.
But that is how quickly things can change in March. The Dores won this tournament a year ago, and despite their disappointing regular season, they are not giving up their crown without a fight.
Neither Ole Miss nor Vandy are supposed to be here, but isn’t that why we watch these games in the first place? The Rebels and Commodores take the floor at 3:30 ET, following the Tide’s chance to take down conference behemoth Florida at 1:00.
