R.I.P. Big East: USA Today says goodbye to the mighty basketball conference [Photo]

We are officially on the last ride into the sunset with the once proud Big East. With the announcement of Notre Dame jumping ship in 2013 instead of 2014 on Tuesday, the end now seems more near than ever.

USA Today honors the mighty conference, a league that will forever be remembered for elite basketball play, today with the cover of their paper.

R.I.P. Big East.
