No. 2 Florida fell to No. 7 Utah Saturday night, 198.125 to 197.875, in Salt Lake City in front of a crowd of 14,390.
Florida’s Bridget Sloan had an outstanding all-around score of 39.700, matching Utah’s highest all-around score by Georgia Dabritz.
The Gators and the Utes tied on vault, each scoring 49.450. Florida’s Kytra Hunter scored an impressive 9.975.
On bars, Utah outscored the Gators 49.600 to 49.550. Utah’s Georgia Dabritz scored a perfect 10.
The Gators beat Utah on beam, 49.500 to 49.425, but fell to the Utes on floor, 49.375 to 49.650.
The Gators are now 8-2 overall and 6-1 in SEC play.
Next up for Florida is the SEC Championships in Little Rock, AR.
