There’s no exact science when it comes to evaluating players at the NFL Combine. Different coaches and scouts use measuring bars of all shapes and sizes to determine if their franchise should risk millions of dollars on a prospect.
For NFL Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp, there is a totally unique method to evaluating players, as we found out during Missouri Tigers defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson’s 40-yard dash.
Sapp wants to know if a guy “jumps off the screen like a turd in a punchbowl.”
Yes, folks, that just might be the simile of the century. No wonder why NFL Network brought in the larger-than-life Sapp to assist in evaluating players during the 2013 NFL Combine.
