| November 25, 2012 at 1:19 pm | 3 Comments

The AP top 25 for Week 14 has been released. Notre Dame retained a stranglehold on the No. 1 ranking, including all 60 first-place votes, following their win over arch-rival USC.

No. 5 Florida moved into the top five, following the Gators impressive road-victory over No. 13 Florida State, bouncing Oregon to No. 6. The rest of the top five remained the same from a week ago.

No. 8 Stanford was the lone team to move into the top 10, while the Seminoles were the only team to drop out of the top 10.

No. 18 Kent State, No. 19 Northern Illinois, and No. 20 Utah State each moved up five spots, the biggest jump in the rankings this week.

Louisville, Rutgers, and Mississippi State fell out of the top 25, while Boise State and Northwestern moved into the rankings. Last week there were 26 teams ranked in the top 25; Utah State and Mississippi State were tied at No. 25.
