VIDEO: Albert Pujols Moves To #23 On All-Time Home Run List After Hitting A Go-Ahead Bomb

The Angels have been running through teams lately. While the AL West has been dominated by the Oakland A’s this season, the Angels have been stuck in a game of catch up.

Well, with the current nine game home winning streak, they have now pulled within 3-1/2 games of the leaders. They did it on Saturday night with the help of their super expensive first baseman Albert Pujols.

Pujols took a low fastball and belted it to deep left center to give the Angels the lead in the seventh inning. While going yard lifted his team over the Astros, it also moved him up to a tie with Mel Ott at 23 on the all-time home run list at 511.

The big man took a few seconds to admire his homer but really, after 511 times, you kind of know what to expect, right?

A declining Pujols? Maybe but with 19 HRs before all break he is on opace for about 40 which happens to be just about avg for him. He is a beast player and one of the 3 best of our generation.
