Carmelo Anthony Decides to Opt Out of His Contract with the New York Knicks

Carmelo Anthony decided today that he will opt out of the final year of his contract with the New York Knicks. Anthony has until Monday to officially inform the team of his decision.

If/When Carmelo Anthony becomes a free agent, he will be allowed to begin meeting with teams July 1.
