VIDEO: Derek Jeter Passes Honus Wagner On Hits List

“The Captain” Derek Jeter continued to place feathers in his cap today as his rolling retirement party ventured on. He passed Honus Wagner on the all-time hits list to move into the 6th spot all by himself.

With a single past Cleveland Indians third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall, Jeter recorded his 3,431st hit of his career.

The rest of the list is most assuredly unattainable if Jeter in fact does retire this year.

5.) Tris Speaker 3,514
4.) Stan Musial 3,630
3.) Hank Aaron 3,771
2.) Ty Cobb 4,191
1.) Pete Rose 4,256

Absolute scorcher to short stop, huh? I bet Wagner’s baseball card is worth more than Jeter’s. Just saying.
