Dwayne Bowe reportedly asked police if Sonic was open prior to arrest

We recently learned that Kansas City wide receiver Dwayne Bowe spent the Chiefs’ bye week getting stoned and then getting arrested. Further details have begun to emerge, and they include Bowe’s interaction with the police after the car he was riding in had been pulled over for speeding.

We don’t want to call it hilarious, because drug use and arrests should never be subject for laughter – but America’s Favorite Drive-In may have found itself a new spokesman?

Apparently, when approached by the police, Bowe inquired about the local fare.

Bowe also asked the officer if the nearby Sonic was still open, according to the police report.

While speaking to Bowe, the officer detected what he suspected was a strong marijuana odor coming from inside the Audi, police said.

That will happen when the things you’re smoking are labeled Bubba Kush, Fire and Apollo 11.

Bowe was released on $750 bond and has a court date scheduled for Dec. 18.

There’s no word on whether or not he ever made it to Sonic. There is news that Sonic’s cheesecake bites are off the chain.
