Johnny Manziel is a dream crusher. He wrecked Alabama’s hopes of a perfect season in 2012. He broke the hearts of Heisman Trophy purists everywhere when he took home the award as a freshman. Now, he’s brought Fritos back to reality just after the forgotten chip had reached the primetime. With no regard for its new Subway deal, Manziel checked Fritos into the boards.
“It would be the worst decision they’ve ever made,” Manziel said of the Houston Texans possibly passing him over for the No. 1 draft pick. “I’d be in the same division playing against them twice a year. Sorry, but you just turned that chip on my shoulder from a Frito into a Dorito.”
Doritos must be the bane of Fritos’ existence. If only for a moment the ergonomically-designed chip could have its moment.
At least they have the french onion dip industry cornered, if that means anything.
