Aaron Murray might be stealing all of the headlines in the Murray family right now, but his brother Josh is ready to steal some hearts. According to OnlineAthens.com, Josh will be a contestant on the next season of “The Bachelorette.”
Murray’s mother, Lauren, confirmed his involvement in the show via telephone with the Athens Banner-Herald after rumors started circulating on Twitter and various celebrity gossip sites.
“He left Sunday (for California) and had to give up all forms of communication,” Lauren Murray said.
Murray, 29, landed on the show thanks to a couple of family members who figured it was time for him to give the whole relationship thing a go.
“He thought it was a joke when (ABC) called him,” Lauren Murray said with a laugh.
Weighing heavily in his favor is that Murray played for Georgia (he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2002), his brother was a superstar quarterback there, and the Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman, has red and black running through her family (despite being an LSU grad, herself). Dorfman’s father is reportedly a diehard Dawg.
If Josh is able to land Dorfman, Aaron might have to make some room for the family’s newfound celebrity.
