Kansas State may have created the greatest Midnight Madness introductory video of all time. The Wildcats officially opened up the 2013-14 basketball season with a parody of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song.
Senior Shane Southwell stars in the lead role Will Smith played on the show, and he, and the rest of the team, absolutely nail the video. From the spray paint, to the police officer, to the cab ride, to the head roll at the end, every bit of the video is spot on.
Fittingly, the best sequence takes place on the basketball court.
Even though the show last aired in 1996, it’s still culturally relevant. Is it weird that we still have the theme song memorized after all these years?
