Former NFL player LaJuan Ramsey set to compete on ‘Chef Wanted’

The USC Trojans’ 2013 season has not been very easy to digest, but fans are about to be introduced to something a bit more palatable.

Former star defensive tackle LaJuan Ramsey is going to be featured on the third season of the Food Network’s Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell, according to The Ripsit Blog.

Since hanging up his NFL cleats, Ramsey has dove head first into a second career in the culinary arts. He is now the sous chef of Morel’s French Steakhouse & Bistro at The Grove in Los Angeles.

Ramsey was a member of two national championship Trojans teams between 2001-2005. He was drafted in the sixth round by the Philadelphia Eagles. After bouncing around with the Niners, Colts, Titans, Rams and Hartford Colonials, he decided it was time to focus on his passion for cooking.

The season airs on Thursday, October 17, at 10 p.m. PT.

Just saw him on ‘Chef Wanted’ and he was so much better than the others. Glad he won!

He LED his team through a great service. The other butthead yelled and cussed at them, threw food on the floor and told them they didn’t know how to cook. Glad Lajuan won this deal! Congratulations Big Fella! You were DEFINATELY a better chef!
