Richard Sherman And Patrick Peterson Can’t Quit Twitter Spat

Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson talking trash on Twitter will never get old. On Tuesday night, Peterson announced his record-setting contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals, effectively rekindling his rivalry with Sherman.

Peterson’s five-year, $70 million contract comes with $48 million guaranteed, which is the most ever for a cornerback. Sherman’s four-year, $57.4 million contract extension netted the Seattle Super Bowl champion $30 million guaranteed.

On Wednesday Peterson threw up a vague tweet that had the defined purpose of taking a shot at Sherman.

Peterson may now hold the most lucrative contract for a cornerback in NFL history, but Sherman owns both a Super Bowl ring and this round of trash talking.

Until the next round.
