Russell Henley’s purse for 2014 Honda Classic beefs up his bank account

Russell Henley took care of business on Sunday, registering his second career PGA Tour victory by winning The Honda Classic. Not only did Henley cement himself as one of the best young golfers on tour, but he also beefed up his bank account. Out of the $6,000,000 purse, Henley’s prize money totaled $1,080,000. That matches the payout Michael Thompson took home in 2013.

The year prior to Thompson, Rory McIlroy cashed in on a $1,026,000 payday.
