Tarik Black Jokingly Blames Crying On Sweaty Eyes

Kansas suffered an early exit from the NCAA Tournament on Sunday at the hands of Stanford. For senior Tarik Black, his career ended even sooner than the Jayhawks’ season after he fouled out with just over five minutes to play. As time ticked down, cameras caught a teary eyed Black on the bench. Shortly after the game, Black attempted to clear the air on him crying by saying it was sweat causing it.

Former Memphis teammate D.J. Stephens consoled him with “it’s all good my boy,” to which Black responded with “they caught me slipping bra.”

It was a tough way for Kansas to go out, especially considering they were missing their dominant post presence in Joel Embiid. Many believed that if the Jayhawks could weather the storm of the first couple rounds and get Embiid back that they were the favorite to win it all.
