Derek Jeter Catches First Pitch With ‘Core Four’ At Last Home Opener

Monday was Yankee captain Derek Jeter’s final home opener in the Bronx. For his ceremony, New York reunited its “Core Four” – Jeter plus Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada – to throw/catch the ceremonial first pitch.

Looks like Mo took it easy on Jeets, though there was still a little action on that pitch.

Regardless of how he plays you can be sure that Yankees Captain Derek Jeter will once again be chosen to play in the All-Star Game later on this summer. If you’re going to be in the Minneapolis area in June be sure to check out our deals on MLB All-Star Game tickets.
