When it comes to South Florida, teams need to play every card they’ve been dealt to get fans into the seats. When the Florida Panthers face off against the Boston Bruins on Thursday night, they will butt up against Red Sox’s ALCS game versus the Detroit Tigers. In order to get people into the arena, the Panthers are advertising that they will show the baseball game on every TV in the arena.
It’s not a bad deal, really. Boston fans get live hockey and the ability to watch their Red Sox play. The BB&T Center will be like a quasi-sports bar.
