Jimmy Fallon Tempts Fate In Twitter Bet Against Montreal Canadiens

Either Jimmy Fallon isn’t privy to Canada owning the US in seemingly every hockey bet made this past year, or he’s pulling a Rhett Butler. Whatever the case, Fallon is tempting fate with his Twitter bet against the Montreal Canadiens.

For their part, the New York Rangers even promised to get Fallon’s back.

They weren’t joking either. The Rangers shellacked the Habs, 7-2, in Game 1.

And just like that, the Stanley Cup Playoffs got a little more interesting, and “The Tonight Show” earned a little extra publicity. Cross-promotion: it’s a beautiful thing.
