John Kerry told the White House that foreign affairs can wait. After all, the Red Sox are in the World Series.
After scoring in the fourth inning, Jacoby Ellsbury was greeted by a high five from the current United States Secretary of State. Kerry, a former Massachusetts senator, received his J.D. from Boston College. He has been a high-profile Red Sox fan since stepping into the national spotlight during his 2004 presidential campaign.
Kerry’s 2004 rival, George Bush, a well-documented baseball enthusiast must surely approve of the celebration. We’re just sad Kerry didn’t go for a beard tug.
