Add another name to the infamous Cleveland Browns quarterback(s) jersey.
Jason Campbell signed with the Browns with the hope that he could be the beleaguered franchise’s starter. When incumbent Brandon Weeden went down with a thumb injury, however, he was skipped over for third-stringer Brian Hoyer.
Hoyer was yet another in the increasingly long line of Cleveland Browns starters since Tim Couch was selected first overall in 1999.
Because they are the Browns, and nothing good ever happens for the Browns, Hoyer tore his ACL, and Weeden stunk in his second go-around this year.
Which finally brings us back to Campbell. He will be starting for the club against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. He will be their third starter through just eight games (sound familiar, Minnesota).
