San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer Honors Tony Gwynn By Wearing Jersey To Work

San Diego mayor Kevin Faulconer turned Thursday into a day of remembrance by encouraging all citizens of San Diego to wear Padres gear in honor of the late Tony Gwynn.

For his part, Faulconer showed up to work on June 19 sporting a throwback Gwynn jersey.

Gwynn passed away on June 16 from oral cancer. The Padres have scheduled a public memorial for June 26 at Petco Park.
