With 36 seconds left in Saturday’s game against Georgia, Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall dropped back and chucked up a prayer of a Hail Mary. A couple of tips later the ball landed in Ricardo Louis’ hands, and he was off to the races for a 73-yard touchdown.
The play has been given names such as the “Miracle from Marshall” and “The Prayer on The Plains.” No matter what you call it, one thing is certain: it broke the hearts of Georgia fans everywhere.
But Bulldogs weren’t the only ones. Hated rival Alabama also looked on in disbelief.
This priceless reaction of one Tide fan was caught on tape and uploaded to YouTube. The video description characterizes him as hating “Auburn above all.”
