In an interview on ESPN, Condoleezza Rice addressed critics of her nomination to the College Football Playoff committee. More pointedly, she responded to the misogynist criticism of former Auburn football head coach and athletic director Pat Dye.
In her brief response to Dye, it’s easy to see why Rice was selected to the committee. She took the high road when responding to antiquated, dimwitted denunciation. Rice even went far enough to say she respects a man who was ousted from his post at Auburn due to a pay-for-play scandal. Kill them with kindness, Ms. Rice.
