Arkansas Razorbacks To Wear New Concussion Resistant Helmets

TOPICS:

The Arkansas Razorbacks will be using new helmets during the 2014 football season. Coach Bret Bielema announced on Twitter that the team will wear Riddell Speedflex trauma-resistant helmets to help prevent concussions.

According to Riddell’s release, the new design better disperses impact than older models. Each lid is also fitted with sensors (Insite Player Management Software) that alert sideline officials whenever the helmet has received enough trauma to possibly trigger a concussion.
