The Tampa Bay Rays dug into the franchise’s history books for an upcoming game against the Chicago Cubs. And by history books, I mean a time when the Rays didn’t even exist.
For Sunday’s “1980s Day” at Wrigley Field, Tampa Bay designed a slick set of throwback uniforms (otherwise known as “fauxback,” thanks to Chris Creamer) to compliment the Cubs’ classic pinstripe threads.
We wouldn’t be mad if the Rays found a reason to wear these more often.
