The Michigan Wolverines are welcoming a familiar foe into The Big House for their 2014 season opener: Appalachian State. While fans or players may refer to the team as App State or the Mountaineers, Brady Hoke has a different name. You’ll notice on Michigan’s football schedule that the team plays “Daddy” on Aug. 30th – no doubt a reference to 2007 when Appalachian State shocked the Wolverines in Ann Arbor.

Considering Ohio State has beaten Michigan nine out of the last 10 years, Hoke probably should have scheduled that game as “Daddy” too.
*UPDATE* It looks like photoshop got us. Judging from this picture of the schedule, the first game reads “Appalachian State.” You can notice in the photo above that the “Daddy” text is slightly different as well.
