Mike Ditka, George McCaskey were fired up to retire Ditka’s jersey

During halftime of Monday night’s game between Chicago and Dallas, the Bears retired the legendary Mike Ditka’s No. 89 jersey.

Ditka won an NFL Championship playing for the Bears in 1963, and then coached the franchise to a Super Bowl in 1985.

Chicago chairman George McCaskey was justifiably excited for the occasion. He was so fired up that he sounded like a prepubescent kid screaming when introducing Ditka.

“The Coach” took the stage, and after a short speech, gave Soldier Field a rousing “GO BEARS!”
