Breaking: President Obama thanks Batkid for saving Gotham

Five-year-old Miles Scott, believed to be the masked superhero known as Batkid, has gained many fans on this heroic Friday. However, none is more prestigious than President Barack Obama.

President Obama posted a Vine, thanking the young man for saving Gotham and keeping its people safe. On the day, Batkid rescued a damsel in distress, diffused a bomb, and even rescued a kidnapped mascot.

Scott’s wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation was to become Batman. Roughly 12,000 volunteers in San Francisco helped make the wish a reality. The story captured the nation’s heart.
