Dog The Bounty Hunter Is On A War Machine Mission

Jon “War Machine” Koppenhaver is on the wrong end of the long arm of the law. The MMA fighter is wanted by police on seven warrants for allegedly beating his girlfriend, Christy Mack, to within an inch of her life Friday evening. According to TMZ, the warrants are as follows:

  • 2 felony batteries, 1 for strangulation
  • 2 felony domestic violence with great bodily injury
  • felony coercion with the threat of force
  • felony assault with a deadly weapon
  • misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon

On Sunday, Koppenhaver released a series of tweets stating his case for public opinion, and mulling his future.

Still on the run, the MMA fighter now has more than police to dodge. Enter: Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman. Dog is on the prowl, and ready to make War Machine eat his taser.

Beyond the above messages, Dog has a long string of interesting RTs on his Twitter feed from fans monitoring the situation.

Koppenhaver marks the third high-profile domestic abuse incident involving an athlete in the past six months – an unfortunate and unsettling trend currently in the sports world. Ray Rice was arraigned for striking his then-fiancee in an Atlantic City casino in February, and Greg Oden was arrested for domestic battery of an ex-girlfriend in early August.
