The college football bowl season hasn’t wrapped up yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t already look ahead to 2014. Athlon Sports has done exactly that, releasing its “Early College Football Top 25 for 2014.”

This list will undoubtedly change over the next few months. Some players will declare for the NFL draft, while others will transfer; changes to coaching staffs will occur; and there will be a slew of other unforeseen factors affecting the landscape next year.

One thing to remember is that the College Football Playoff will be instituted in 2014. The top four spots are the all-important rankings for teams looking to compete for a national championship.

Without further ado, here’s how Athlon views the rankings early on.
