Jimmy Kimmel rings in Austin show with Big Bertha and Hook ’em Horns

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” is in Austin this week for the South by Southwest festival. Being a man of the people, Kimmel knew exactly how to engage Austinites in his first show: show them some Longhorn love.

Kimmel threw up the Hook ’em Horns to open his monologue, and was immediately over with the crowd. Then, a little later, he had four UT band members roll out Big Bertha for the world’s largest rimshot.

There wasn’t a Bevo sighting on Monday, but the week is young.

Below is video of the monologue.

And here is a clip of the rimshot.
