Costa Rica is making just its fourth appearance in the World Cup in the country’s history. La Sele’s best finish was the Round of 16 at the 1990 World Cup, which was also its first time playing in the tournament. Costa Rica was bounced in the group stages of the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.
Entering competition in Brazil, La Sele is the long shot to advance out of Group D with +4150 odds.
