When the Aggies square off against the UTEP Miners on Sunday, Kyle Field will have a patriotic theme. Not only is the affair Texas A&M’s Homecoming game, it’s also Military Appreciation Day.
All words in the end zone and midfield will be painted with cascading red, white, and blue. According to TAMUtimes, there will be other celebrations before and during the game.
In preparation for the Texas A&M – UTEP football game, the Corps of Cadets will step-off from the Quad, the area where Corps members reside, for the traditional march-in before the football game at 6:30 p.m.
Prior to the start of the 8 p.m. game, a “Veterans Salute” is planned with a joint color guard. Combat Marines from San Antonio will attend the game and be recognized. The Student Veteran’s Association plans a tailgate event in conjunction with the game.
