Having finally listened to “Nothing Was The Same” (yes, I attack pop culture one year behind) and enjoying it quite a bit, I was excited to see Drake’s performance at the 2014 ESPYS. And then I tuned in and immediately remembered why I never watch the ESPYS unless paid for it (thank you, Gamedayr!): they’re terrible. By the time Bill Simmons showed up in the ensuing skit, I was pretty sure that I had eaten the wrong cookie from the fridge and was tripping balls.
Thankfully Twitter exists to keep people honest. Well maybe not so much that, but to at least help you make fun of something when it’s going off the rails. Here are some of the top reactions from the Twitterverse regarding ESPN’s award’s show and its host.

Not watching right now – but no matter how bad Drake (allegedly) bombed at the ESPYs, nothing will beat the Stiuation at the Roast of Trump.

Drake hosting the #ESPYs is perfect, because everyone in the audience is his favorite team.

I don’t care about Drake and I don’t care about the ESPYS so goodbye twitter feed.
