ESPN’s Brandon Chatman has projected which Big 12 teams will be bowling following Week 1’s slate of games. Obviously, with only one week of the 2013 season under our belts, these projections are subject to change – quickly.

Where might your favorite team be headed this postseason?

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma State vs. BCS at-large
AT&T Cotton Bowl: Oklahoma vs. SEC No. 3/4
Valero Alamo Bowl: Baylor vs. Pac-12 No. 2
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl: Texas vs. Big Ten No. 4/5
Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl: TCU vs. Pac-12 No. 3
Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas: Texas Tech vs. Big Ten No. 6
New Era Pinstripe Bowl: Kansas State vs. Big East No. 4
Heart of Dallas Bowl: West Virginia vs. Big Ten No. 7

No Big 12 squad has been projected to play for the 2014 BCS national championship. Of course, should a team such as Oklahoma State – projected to represent the conference in the Fiesta Bowl – go undefeated in the regular season, a chance at the crystal football will be theirs. Should that happen, a second Big 12 could earn an at-large BCS invite.

Texas, returning starters at nearly every position on the field, is also expected to put together a great record in 2013. However, Chatman doesn’t quite see it going that way. A Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl berth would mean that the Horns finished fourth this year; that might not be good enough to keep fans from running coach Mack Brown out of town.
