The final edition of the Rivals100 for the class of 2013 was released on Monday, and judging from Gators’ commits, the future of the Florida football program is bright.

There are a total of seven players out of the top 100 prospects in the nation currently committed to Will Muschamp and Florida.

Defensive back Vernon Hargreaves III (Wharton High School/Tampa, FL) is the star of this year’s class. Hargreaves, who is the No. 2 overall player and No. 1 defensive back, is coming off an MVP performance at the Under Armour All-American game which catapulted him all the way up to the second spot. Hargreaves finished his senior year with 100 tackles, five interceptions, and four forced fumbles.

Florida now has two five-star commits, as Alex Anzalone (Wyomissing, PA) received his fifth star in the latest rankings. Anzalone is the No. 3 ranked inside linebacker and the No. 28 overall prospect. During his senior season, Anzalone tallied more than 100 tackles on defense and 1,000 rushing the ball, showing his versatility.

The remaining five Florida commits in the Rivals100 are all four-star prospects.

  • No. 38 – Kelvin Taylor (Belle Glade, FL), No. 5 RB
  • No. 52 Demarcus Robinson (Fort Valley, GA), No. 5 WR
  • No. 63 Allen Bailey (Seffner, FL), No. 13 WR
  • No. 64 Keanu Neal (Bushnell, FL), No. 9 Safety
  • No. 67 Marcell Harris (Orlando, FL), No. 6 Safety

Their are still a few prospects on the board for the Gators, none bigger than No. 1 overall player Robert Nkemdiche. Nkemdiche took a visit to Gainesville over the this past weekend and reportedly liked what he say. He is still believed to be an Ole Miss lean since his older brother is currently playing for the Rebels, however Nkemdiche has officially entered Florida into his list of finalists, which also includes LSU.
