Think Carmelo Anthony has the NBA scoring title wrapped up? Not if Blake Griffin has something to say

On Wednesday, Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant threw in the towel on his shot at the 2013 NBA scoring title. Durant needed 70 points, but will be sitting out instead to get rested up for the playoffs.

He made his announcement via Instagram, because that’s how we make announcements nowadays (that and Twitter).

His concession means that Carmelo Anthony secured his first ever scoring title. Or so we thought.

Enter Blake Griffin, the resident dunk-man of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Griffin has made a very important announcement that he is going to be going after the scoring title tonight.

All that stands between Griffin and the title is 860 points, according to USA Today Sports. That equals out to a whole lot of dunks. The one thing he’s got going for him is that the Clips are playing the Sacramento Kings.

One game for all of the marbles. It’s time to shine Blake.
