The dreams of 32 intense, hard-working young men came true on Thursday night during the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Not only was each player’s lifelong goal of playing professional football made a reality, but the first round selection makes the move to the next level all the more special.

Will every single one of these players appear in multiple playoff games and Pro Bowls? Absolutely not.

However, for the rest of their lives, each of these former college football superstars will be known as a first round NFL Draft pick, and that will never be taken away from them.

As for the No. 1-overall pick, it was a meteoric rise from Central Michigan to the Kansas City Chiefs for Eric Fisher. He became just the fourth tackle chosen at the top spot and the very first MAC player ever taken there. Before him, Byron Leftwich out of Marshall was the highest selection out of the conference at No. 7-overall.

After the Jags took Luke Joeckel directly afterwards at No. 2, the league saw offensive linemen taken first and second for the first time since 1968.

Check out the photos of each player, holding up the jersey of their new, respective team alongside NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
