[VIDEO: Jeremy Kerr Junior Highlight Video]

The battle for Sunshine State supremacy is one that wages on year after year. Three powerhouse programs in Florida, Florida State, and Miami, all vying for the top talent in the nation’s richest recruiting state.

On Wednesday, the Seminoles flexed some muscled by flipping Miami Hurricane’s tight end commit Jeremy Kerr to Florida State.

The 6’6″, 260 pound native of St Petersburg, FL is a three-star recruit for the 2013 recruiting class.

According to Bud Elliot of SB Nation, Kerr is being recruited for his blocking presence, and will most likely eventually slide into the offensive line.

He is the second former Miami commit that the Noles’ coaching staff has been able to flip for the 2013 class, joining athlete Levonte Whitfield.

Welcome to the right side, Jeremy!
