With championship weekend in the books, it’s time to take a look at which teams are headed to BCS bowls following this season.
Ohio State’s 34-24 loss to Michigan State eliminated the Buckeyes from the BCS National Championship Game, but Urban Meyer’s team could potentially still play in a BCS bowl.
Auburn’s win over Missouri in the SEC Championship Game guaranteed Gus Malzahn’s squad at least a BCS game. The Buckeyes’ defeat, however, will likely propel the Tigers into the national title game.
Oklahoma State’s heartbreaking loss to Oklahoma left Baylor and Texas to battle for the Big 12′s BCS berth. The Bears topped the Longhorns, 30-10, earning the conference’s bid.
Stanford’s dominating 38-14 win over Arizona State will send the Cardinal back to the Rose Bowl.
Following are projections for the five BCS games:
- BCS Championship Game: Florida State vs. Auburn
- Fiesta: Baylor vs. UCF
- Orange Bowl: Clemson vs. Ohio State
- Rose Bowl: Michigan State vs. Stanford
- Sugar Bowl: Alabama vs. Oregon
