With the conclusion of the 2013 regular season, fans of NFL teams who aren’t preparing for the playoffs can start to look ahead to the 2014 NFL Draft. The official order for the top-20 selections has been set.
The Houston Texans, a perceived Super Bowl contender before the start of the season, recorded the worst record in the league and will select first.
Following Houston are the St. Louis Rams (No. 2), Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 3), Cleveland Browns (No. 4), and Oakland Raiders (No. 5).
Teams with the same record are separated with a strength of schedule tie-breaker. If SOS does not break the tie, Division and Conference tiebreakers are utilized. Last resort for teams who are still tied after the previous methods is a coin flip.
The selection order for picks 21-32 will be settled based on the playoffs, with the Super Bowl winning team receiving the last pick in the first round.
