College football recruiting is in the home stretch for the 2014 class. There are exactly two weeks to go until National Signing Day (Feb. 5). The majority of each team’s class is finalized, however, there are still recruits who have yet to decide, as well as some who will flip in the waning moments.
It’s always interesting to take a look at the recruiting rankings breakdown for each conference. As has become custom, the SEC leads the way this year (to date) with 93 of the top 250 Rivals recruits. The next closest league, the ACC, has less than half of the SEC with 41.
Following are the total recruits in the Rivals250 committed to each conference:
SEC – 93
ACC – 41
Pac-12 – 31
Big Ten – 27
Big 12 – 20
AAC – 1
A total of 213 out of the top 250 prospects have committed so far. Teams around the country will be jockeying to pick up one (or more) of the remaining coveted recruits over the next couple of weeks.
