9/11 truther’s story on how he snuck into Super Bowl XLVIII

While the game was less than entertaining on the field (for everyone except Seahawks and anti-Broncos fans), the post-game brought the world a bizarre moment. During Super Bowl MVP Malcom Smith’s post-game press conference, a 9/11 truther crashed the stage, grabbed the mic and blurted out his message before being courted off.

The man’s name is Matthew Mills, and he was able to share his thoughts on how 9/11 was “perpetrated by people in our own government” with a nationally televised audience.

One of the first thoughts that came to mind following the incident is how this guy got past security to the point where he could grab the mic. A.J. Perez of NJ.com caught up with Mills to hear his side of the story, which turns out to be pretty simple.

Wearing an old festival badge, Mills hopped aboard an employee bus and made his way to the stadium. Whenever he was hassled by security, Mills simply told them he was in a hurry.

“I just said I was running late for work and I had to get in there,” Mills said. “It was that simple.”

He continued to use the same line, eventually finding himself inside MetLife Stadium.

“I didn’t think that I’d get that far,” Mill said. “I just kept getting closer and closer. Once I got past the final gate and into the stadium, I was dumbfounded.”

Having worked his way passed security to get into the game, Mills saw an opportunity to share his message with the world. Following the game, he found himself in the media tent.

“I just saw my opportunity to get my word out there and I took it,” Mills said.

Just like that, what started as an attempt to interview fans, turned into a national moment – all because he acted like he belonged when confronted by security.

Mills was arrested for his actions, though no details on what he faces were available at the time of writing. Following is a video of his post-game moment.
