Georgia is Jones-in, Richt announces that star DE Abry Jones will miss Florida game

According to Bruce Feldman of CBS, No. 10 Georgia will be without star defensive end Abry Jones this weekend for the showdown with No. 2 Florida.

Feldman sent the following tweet earlier Wednesday.

Since this tweet, Chip Towers of the Atlanta Journal Constitution has confirmed that Jones underwent ankle surgery on Tuesday and will miss the remainder of the 2012 season.

    Never want to see any player injured, no matter who they play for. College players play with more heart because they’re doing it for the education and/or for a shot at the pro game. That’s why college football is more interesting than NFL.
