Notre Dame’s 2014, 2015 and 2016 schedule to be announced by ACC

*UPDATE* Notre Dame and ACC release five-game football schedules for 2014-2016

Notre Dame recently inked a new deal with NBC that will extend their lucrative contract through the 2025 season.

The Fighting Irish will remain independents in football, however, all other sports are making the switch from the Big East to the ACC.

Part of the negotiations was that the ACC wanted Notre Dame to have some sort of a presence in the conference in football. This was to help bolster the strength of the league as a whole.

On Friday, at 4 p.m. ET, the conference will announce Notre Dame’s official schedule for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons.

According to ESPN, Notre Dame with host three ACC teams in 2014: Louisville, North Carolina and Wake Forest. Brian Kelly and crew will hit the road twice, taking on Florida State and Syracuse.

In 2015, the Irish will host Boston College and Georgia Tech and will visit Clemson, Pitt and Virginia.

The following year, in 2016, Notre Dame will welcome Duke, rival Miami, and Virginia.
