Senior Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron has received some high praise from one NFL scout. According to Matt Miller, one AFC scouting director has compared McCarron to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
An AFC scouting director compared AJ McCarron to Tom Brady, per @AlbertBreer. Whether you agree or not, that’s valuable information.

There are some prevalent similarities between the two players. Brady has three Super Bowl Championships; McCarron has three BCS Championships. Each quarterback plays for the greatest coach of their generation (Belichick and Saban). Nick Saban coached under Bill Belichick in Cleveland. Both quarterbacks were labeled as game managers early in their careers, only to mature into stars at their position.
According to Miller, NFL insiders are higher on McCarron than the media.
Draft media might not all like AJ McCarron, but a lot of NFL teams do. And that’s all that matters in May.

While the debate over McCarron’s potential in the NFL will undoubtedly run all the way through April, right now, his stock is up.
