This weekend has proven to be a tough one for both Alabama and Auburn. On Sunday morning, Crimson Tide cornerback Geno Smith was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, according to Tuscaloosa News.
Smith is entering his sophomore season and was expected to compete for a starting position. The Atlanta, Georgia native was the No. 8-ranked safety nationally coming out of high school.
Smith appeared in 13 games in his first season with the Tide, collecting nine tackles and two pass breakups.
The university has not commented on the situation as of writing.
