Take Andrew Shaw’s Game 6 stitches from the Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup run this past season. At a recent auction benefitting the V Foundation, Shaw’s bloody wound repair was sold for a whopping $6,500.
The winner received a beautifully framed plaque with a signature from Shaw, as well as a resting place for the stitches.
The only questions is: How do you explain this purchase to the wife?
